Hardware Repairs (component level)
Hard drives, CD drives, graphics cards, sound cards, monitors, motherboards, memory and power supplies can all fail without warning.

Many components are usually cheaper to replace than repair, but when necessesary, hardware can be repaired down to component level. This is mainly the case with some non-standard motherboards which cannot be replaced easily.

Component level repairs will obviously not be necessary if a replacement part is cheaper and available.

Blue Screen of Death

Thats what it's known as, but its actually called a 'Windows STOP Error'. Windows has decided that a 'serious' error has occurred, and to be safe, has stopped your system.

The error message is mostly generic, the bit that matters most, LOOKS_LIKE_THIS. -Be sure to note down what it says, it's describing the fault.

Fixing these errors usually costs around £30.
